Introduction

Over the past few years, I have become increasingly concerned that a tradition in Church Music which goes back centuries, and one that I and many others hold dear, is in danger of being lost for ever, that is, Singing Hymns in harmony.

Up until twenty or so years ago, very little in the way of new hymns were written and those that were, followed the tradition of the past in form, with changes in taste in their content.

Since then there seems to have been what can only be described as a deluge of "Songs"

which have found their way into main stream Churches, and in many  pushed out traditional hymns, and most of these 'songs' are sung in unison

I believe humanity, and certainly choirs were meant to sing in harmony each singing in their own range.

To this end, and not being able to beat the trend, I have taken it on myself to harmonize several tunes which are available for you to download  as acrobat pdf files, (some are also in Midi,) free of charge.

In addition there are some new original tunes.

It would be helpful if you would contact me if you use any of these so that I know it's of some use.

The files are from 88 to 500KB in size, so please be patient, you will get a blank screen at first, then Acrobat will open up with the music, if you print it, you should get a good copy.
